Question 1

What is CloudPeople?

Accepted Answer

CloudPeople is a live salary auction marketplace. Instead of applying for jobs, you set your minimum salary and let employers bid on you in real-time auctions. The market decides your worth.

Question 2

How does the auction work?

Accepted Answer

Once you're live, employers send connection requests and you invite the ones you want to your auction. When the auction starts, it runs for 15 minutes. Employers bid against each other, driving your salary up. At the end, the highest bid at or above your reserve wins.

Question 3

What's a reserve price?

Accepted Answer

Your reserve price is your minimum acceptable salary - the lowest you'd accept. Employers who match with you see it, and every bid must be at least that. If no employer bids, the auction closes with no deal. You're always in control.

Question 4

What happens if no employer bids in my auction?

Accepted Answer

Nothing bad — and nothing without your say-so. If no employer places a bid, your auction simply closes: no winner, no obligation, and it costs you nothing. Employers can only bid at or above the reserve you set, so you'll never be shown an offer below your floor. Adjust your reserve and go live again once auctions are open.

Question 5

Can my current employer see that I'm on CloudPeople?

Accepted Answer

Your profile is never public — there's no searchable directory and your details aren't indexed by search engines. Before you go live you name your current employer, and they never see you in their matches and cannot send you a connection request. Employers only see your full profile after you accept their connection request, so you decide who gets access, every time. And if you ever want out, email info@cloudpeople.ai and we'll delete your account and data.

Question 6

Is it free to sign up?

Accepted Answer

Yes — signing up, building your profile and going live are all free for candidates. Employers pay to enter your auction: €250 up to a €50,000 reserve, €500 up to €75,000, €750 up to €100,000 and €1,000 above. 50% of every entry fee is paid to you when the auction goes live, whether or not you are hired. The entry fee is refunded in full if the auction does not open. Once the auction has opened it is non-refundable.

Question 7

When does my auction go live?

Accepted Answer

When auctions open. Going live is paused for now; once it opens, your auction is scheduled 45 days after you go live. Sign up, build your profile, then set your reserve price — the minimum you'll accept. Employers connect with you, you decide who proceeds, and the ones you accept bid against your reserve.

Question 8

How do I delete my account or data?

Accepted Answer

Under GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data. Email info@cloudpeople.ai with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and we'll process it within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy at https://cloudpeople.ai/privacy for full details on your rights.
